The Buddy Holly Center
The Buddy Holly Center opened in 1999, days before Buddy Holly’s birthday, tells the story of Buddy Holly, his music and his legacy.
Visitors will learn about Buddy Holly’s early days in Texas, his rise to fame, and how he influenced rock ‘n’ roll.
Part of the center is also Allison House, which was the home of Jerry Ivan Allison, one of Buddy Holly’s best friends and a member of the band The Crickets.
The house is much as the Allisons left it, and there is a collection of antiques that gives guests a unique insight into this special time in American history.
American Wind Power Center
The American Wind Power Center opened in 1993. It is home to one of the most extensive collections of windmills in the United States.
