I absolutely love the Cayman Islands from Cayman Brac to Grand Cayman. I go at least once a year, and occasionally, I will splurge and stay at one of the luxury resorts on the island. Really, as long as I’m near Seven Mile Beach, I’m happy, but there is something to be said about staying at a 5-star hotel and being on the beach!
Here are my top three options for luxury resorts on Grand Cayman. It’s worth noting, pretty much everything is luxury here. There aren’t really any hostels in Cayman, and very few budget hotels, so if you are looking for a cheap trip, you are pretty much out of luck here.
What are the Five Star Hotels in Grand Cayman?
Here’s a list of the luxury resorts you can find in the Cayman Islands famous stretch called 7 Mile Beach.
Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa
Located on the famous Seven Mile Beach, the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa is one of my top choices in the Cayman Islands. The design of the Kimpton Seafire Resort is open-air, and you can see the stunning Caribbean Sea everywhere you look. It has a perfect place to watch the sunset, which seems to blaze right into the water, and this is where the resort gets its name.
Some of the amenities you will find at this resort include restaurants and bars, a fitness center, butler service, an oceanfront swimming pool, coffee shop, private access to Seven Mile Beach, private balconies, a kids club, and much more.
Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman
Also located on Seven Mile Beach, the Ritz Carlton is another favorite of mine when looking to stay at a 5-star resort. It is Grand Cayman’s crown jewel, and from the marble floors and sushi bar to the putting green and art collection, there truly is something for everyone here.
The Ritz Carlton is a luxury resort that offers on-site car rental. This is convenient if you want to get out and explore George Town or head towards the eastern part of the island. It also offers activities such as scuba diving, restaurants full of Caribbean flavors, and of course you can find time for a visit to Stingray City or some deep sea fishing if you want to leave the resort. Don’t miss the Cayman Cookout, which is a memorable event for foodies.

Caribbean Club
The Caribbean Club is a boutique hotel that is the most luxurious hotel option in the Cayman Islands. Another Seven Mile Beach resort, you are met with exceptional service and amenities that can’t be matched. As one of the best hotels on the island, white sands are visible everywhere you turn, and the Italian restaurant at the resort is second to none when it comes to fine dining.
Some of the luxurious amenities that you will find at the Caribbean Club include turndown service, villas with fully equipped kitchens, sunset cruises, helicopter rides, stunning ocean views, and some of the best restaurants around. Take a dip in the swimming pool or snorkel off the beach and find yourself face to face with tropical fish.
They also are home to one of our favorite restaurants, which is called Luca. Read about our experience at Luca here.
Westin Hotel Seven Mile Beach
Another hotel under the Marriott umbrella of hotels, you can get the Westin for just a tad cheaper than the Ritz Carlton. It’s got the same upscale design, great restaurants, a sprawling pool, spa, and every amenity you could ask for. It’s just two doors down from the Ritz, so if you are a Bonvoy member like myself, you should look at these two properties.
Live a Life of Luxury in Grand Cayman
Really, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these choices when you visit Grand Cayman. The white sand beaches, local seafood, swaying palms, and delicious food are only some of the things you might experience during your visit. All of the experiences here make for a vacation you will not soon forget.
