Agua Cayman – The Freshest Seafood Mixed with Italian Tradition and Peruvian Cuisine

When exploring Grand Cayman, many people seek out a seafood restaurant that features the freshest ingredients. This is exactly what you will find at Agua Restaurant & Lounge.

When considering all of the restaurants on Grand Cayman, Agua Restaurant is certainly one that sticks out. It is a seafood restaurant rooted in Italian tradition mixed with the best of Peruvian cuisine. Serving both lunch and dinner, the food here is exceptional.

I dream of the tuna sashimi, which features pickled jicama, chili aioli, and unagi sauce, which I had first at a corporate event, but there are so many good options here at Agua.

You can get a delectable lunch at Agua from 11:30am to 4:00pm, though keep in mind that there is a reduced lunch menu from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Burrata and Lobster Causa are Favorites of Mine

From delicious burrata paired with marinated cherry tomato sauce to lobster causa with mash potatoes, avocado and shitake crackers, the antipasti is amazing.

Ceviche and Pasta is Something You Should Not Skip!

The ceviche served at Agua is also amazing, and I always get the Trio, which features three different styles. It’s perfect with a glass of white wine, and followed by a dish of Agua’s hand made pasta. I’m totally serious when I say the pasta is some of the best I have had. Chefs import the flour to make the pasta, and only the finest ingredients, like parmigiano reggiano and fresh red onion is used.

The Lunch Entrees are Exceptional at Agua

Entrees are also available for lunch, and the choices are fantastic. The seafood is caught locally, when available, and guests are treated to dishes like mahi mahi and chicken a la brasa.

Never Skip Dessert!

Finally, don’t forget dessert! You will definitely want to try the coconut mousse, which features a traditional Cayman Islands rum cake covered in passion fruit sauce, and don’t forget the simple chocolate cake dotted with berries.

If you thought the lunch menu at Agua sounded delicious, wait until you take a look at the dinner menu, which begins at 5:00pm.

Delectable Entrees will Tantalize Your Taste Buds

Though some of the items on the menu are featured on both menus, other food options are only available at dinner, such as the 10 oz Grilled “Entrana,” which is a skirt steak with a pastel de papa.

Pasta Paired with Wine or Cocktails is a Perfect Plan

One of the things I love for dinner at Agua is one of the pasta dishes. Imagine hand made pasta with fresh tomato sauce, cheese, butter, and garlic or risotto with Italian saffron paired with exceptional wine. This is what dreams are made of, even when you are far from Italy and sitting on Camana Bay.

Desserts are Divine at Agua Restaurant

Just as I said for lunch, the desserts from Agua are the perfect ending for your meal. As mentioned, I love the coconut mousse, but I also highly suggest the tres leches.
