Azteca UCF: Mexican Food Right off Campus

I’m a self-professed foodie with an unwavering love for Mexican cuisine, and I’ve had the pleasure of exploring numerous restaurants in the Orlando area, including Azteca D’Oro.

The location of this Mexican restaurant near the University of Central Florida campus has a special place in my heart since my son goes there now and we visit often. Whether I’m craving tacos, burritos, or fajitas, I know I’ll find the best, freshest, and most vibrant flavors at this Azteca D’Oro.

But, the appeal of this family-owned establishment goes beyond the mouthwatering flavors of its food. Here’s everything you should know about it!

A Conveniently Located Mexican Restaurant for Hungry Students and Locals Alike

Azteca D’Oro is a home of authentic Mexican flavors located just a stone’s throw away from the UCF campus.

Thanks to its strategic location on University Boulevard, it’s the ideal option for students seeking a hearty, flavorful meal after a long day of classes or stressful exams.

But it isn’t just for students. Other people can get a taste of Mexico’s vibrant culture without venturing too far from home, including professors or just locals!

A Closer Look at The Azteca D’Oro MENU

The Macho Burrito is massive!

The Azteca D’Oro menu is a compilation of culinary delights that showcase the rich diversity of Mexican cuisine.

Whether you’re a fan of classic favorites, such as tacos, burritos, and enchiladas, or you’re more adventurous and want to try specialties, such as Mole Poblano or Camarones a la Diabla, you’ll find something to tantalize your taste buds on this restaurant’s menu.

Parrillada Azteca: My Favorite Item on Azteca D’Oro’s Menu

One of my personal favorites is the “Parrillada Azteca,” a sizzling platter piled high with grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo.

This fest of meat is accompanied by a medley of grilled vegetables and served with warm tortillas for a complete, colorful, and delicious experience.

A Lighter Option for Busy Days

You can’t go wrong with tacos!

Those students who are in a rush can also find lighter options at Azteca D’Oro, including the “Ensalada de Camarones.”

Just as its English translation means, it’s a sophisticated shrimp salad that includes a colorful and crunchy mix of greens, sweet mango, and soft, delicious pieces of avocado.

Grilled shrimp are carefully placed on this bed of succulent vegetables, and everything is drizzled with a tangy cilantro-lime vinaigrette.

My mouth is watering right now!

The Signature Margaritas

No meal at Azteca D’Oro would be complete without the signature margaritas.

From classic lime to exotic flavors that can be usually found in Mexico, such as mango and tamarind, this restaurant’s margaritas are the perfect complement to any dish or celebration.

A Visual Delight: Ambiance and Decor

Walls are adorned with colorful murals and photos depicting scenes from the country’s culture. Plus, the lively mariachi music creates a friendly atmosphere that’s perfect for both casual gatherings and celebrations.

A Welcoming and Inviting Place for Families and Groups

Azteca D’Oro UCF isn’t just a culinary haven for solo Mexican food enthusiasts; it’s also a welcoming and inviting space for groups.

This restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate my family and friends. The menu is so extensive that there’s an option for every palate, and the friendly staff goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels at home.
