10 Best Cayman Island Jet Ski Rentals

To rent a jet ski on the Grand Cayman Islands, I recommend White Water Sport, Sea Breeze, and Cayman Water Sports for actual jet ski rentals. With a fleet of top-tier jet skis, experienced guides, and a commitment to safety, they offer an unparalleled adventure.

Given that watersport is a popular activity on the island, you may think it’s easy to find rental services for jet skis. Unfortunately, there are more jet ski tour packages than actual rentals. This posed a challenge when I lodged at the Ritz Carlton and wanted to rent a jet ski to hit Stingray City, Kaibo, and Starfish Point on my own terms.

I have prepared this article to point you in the right direction. You will find the top ten places to look for renting jet skis no matter where you are on the Cayman Islands. In case you’re in a hurry, here’s my top recommendation:

Note that most of these rental companies also offer jet ski tours, which are presented in packages. But of course, they are private trip packages and give you the liberty to customize how to travel with the jet ski.

1. White Sand Water Sport

White Sand Water Sport is a popular jet ski rental option on Cayman Island. While the watersport service is primarily known for boat tours, they also offer private jet ski charters that allow you to dictate the sites to see and where to go with the jet ski.

Many reviewers talk about excellent Bioluminescence boat tours, slip-and-slide boat snorkel tours, and stingray city snorkel tours.

I’ve visited the White Sand Water Sport more than once with my family, and Captain Chris, the owner of the charter, is a knowledgeable guide. He is great to talk to and showed us how to feed and pet the stingrays.

The wonderful thing about their tour package is that you will be taken to a snorkel spot that both amateurs and experienced swimmers can enjoy.

The boats at White Sand Water Sport have enough space. And, unlike cruise ships, it doesn’t have hundreds of people on it.

2. Sea Breezes Charters and Jet Ski Rentals

Another fantastic option for Jet Ski rentals is Sea Breeze Charters. They offer Jet Ski Tours for different durations of the day.

For example, the 3-hour guided island life jet ski tour can accommodate single or double passengers. You can rent the jet ski to ride towards Stingray City, our secret snorkel spot, Rum Point, and Starfish Point.

Each of these rentals has instructors to assist you in the learning process! The rental also comes with a free lifeguard vest. Sea Breeze also offers a 3- to 6-hour half-day or full-day private jet ski rental, which is between $400 and $700.

3. Aqua Watersports

QUA Watersports offers a way to get to Stingray City, Grand Cayman, by jet skiing. Some people prefer to charter a luxury motor yacht for half a day (4 hours) or a full day (6 hours) and meet the famous stingrays in style, but there’s an option to jump aboard a jet ski for the safari of a lifetime.

They also offer the Jet Ski Classic 3-stop tour (or a shorter 2-hour safari) for a Stingray City, Starfish Point, and Kaibo Beach experience.

My experience with Aqua Watersports was fantastic, so I’d recommend it quickly. If you’re lucky to work with Paul and George at the rental service, they are excellent guides.

You will have lots of skiing and plenty of time at each stop.

4. 007 Sea Charters

Private charters are ideal for group and family trips to the must-see sites of Cayman Island. So they have more fantastic boat tour options than Jet Ski tours. However, I recommend them because you may have friends who wish to jump on jet skis while traveling to Stingray City. You can even decide when to set off and what sites to see.

They provide a 4-hour tour with snorkeling stops at Stingray City and Starfish Point. Captain Sheldon and his crew were terrific people during my visit to this watersport service.

Many people say that Stingray City is much better on a boat like the Twin Vee than on one of the larger boats with many people. But you unlock a whole new experience when you go on Jet Skis.

The boat tour service prides itself on giving the best experiences at Stingray City, Starfish Point, and the Bioluminescence Experience. But they also offer private jet ski trips, reef fishing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

5. Crystal Charters

Crystal Charters is a reputable private boat charter company in the Cayman Islands. While they offer stingray, fishing, and bioluminescence tours, you can get a rental Jet Ski under their Private charter package, where you can choose what site to ski to and the departure timeline.

I love Crystal Charters for their extensive fleet of boats and subdecks, but since the focus here is Jet Skis, they also have excellent options for both one and two passengers.

If you want to have a party on a boat or rent jet skis in groups, you can count on them.

6. Cayman Yacht Charters

  • Address: Cayman Islands Yacht Club, Yacht Drive, Grand Cayman B.W.I.
  • Contact: Website, Instagram
  • Telephone: (345) 917-9855

Cayman Yacht Charters has every kind of Jet Ski and boat to meet your needs. They specialize in private boat and Jet Ski tours for your trip to Cayman’s must-see marine sites.

When you book a personalized jet ski tour from their extensive packages, you can customize your itinerary, ski at your own pace, and create your own schedule, which is impossible with group boat tours.

Their Jet Ski charter provides a private and intimate setting to enjoy without sharing the experience with strangers.

It comes along when you book a boat tour with Cayman Yacht Charters, plus other fishing gear.

7. Islandlife Watersports

Islandlife Watersports offers numerous private boat charters, many of which come with fishing gear and a Jet Ski for people on board to enjoy. For example, the Stingray City Snorkeling Charter allows you to choose from several excursions on the North Sound, such as a beautiful and relaxing Snorkel tour on the Barrier Reef or Coral Gardens.

They also offer deep-sea fishing all year round and Exclusive Luxury Charters to cruise through the North Sound.

8. FatFish Adventures

  • Address: Newlands Barcadere, Leeward Dr., North Sound Estates, Grand Cayman
  • Contact: Website, Instagram
  • Telephone: 1-345-327-4973

If you want to rent a Jet Ski in Cayman, consider the Wave Runner/JJet Ski Tour on the FatFish Adventure watersport service package.

It features a tour of Stingray City or Stingray Sandbar. The Tour begins with a free shuttle from the Hard Rock Café in George Town (a short walk from the cruise ship terminal).

Even if you’re staying on the island, FatFish offers complimentary shuttle service from any hotel in George Town or the Seven Mile Beach area.

A personal jet ski costs $200, while two private passenger seats cost $250 at FatFish.

9. Cayman Water Sports

For all things rentals to have a better experience in the aqua area of Cayman Island, you can consider the Cayman Water Sports Company.

They offer island-wide Paddleboard and Jet Ski rental deliveries that can be brought to your doorstep.

You can get Yolo Paddleboards suitable for all levels and abilities from their website, and they will provide you with a 5-minute lesson with each delivery of paddleboards to ensure that you have confidence when you head out on the water and can enjoy it.

10. Red Sail Sports

Under their Grand Cayman Snorkeling and Jet Ski Tour, you can enjoy a jet ski experience with Red Said Sports. It departs from Seven Mile Beach and costs C$170 for single and C$210 for double passenger seats on a jet ski.

However, this doesn’t come with their other boat tour packages. It’s exclusively available for Safari, which goes from snorkel site to snorkel site.

Small groups of up to five wave runners can participate in the Safari. So you must book a spot in advance (with 24-hour notice) for a guided tour that lasts up to an hour and a half and includes two snorkel stops.

Also, if you want the BEST hotel on Seven Mile Beach, check out the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman.

Wrapping up

Undoubtedly, Cayman is among the best destinations for all things watersports. Even though you’re not near a seven-mile beach, other areas give you access to fascinating marine life.

The irony is that despite the abundance, many tourists still find it quite challenging to rent jet skis for their customized trips because most watersport companies only offer charters and tours with their jet skis.

However, many dive shops rent snorkel gear or set you up for a so-called “Resort course,” which requires no previous training and includes all the necessary equipment.

Having tried a lot of watersport services around Cayman in the last two years, it’s not in my nature to recommend a specific business because each company’s offering will suit the preferences of some visitors more than others.

However, the ten rental companies I’ve listed, tested, and trusted I recommend you pick the one closest to where you are staying and talk with them about your options.

Meanwhile, if you want a boat charter, I have prepared a separate article ranking the best boat charters in Grand Cayman.
