Best Tacos and Tequila Selection in Milwaukee – CANTINA

Everyone loves tacos — they are a staple of some people’s weeks so it’s important to find a place who serves the best of the best in tacos. In Milwaukee, that place is CANTINA.

CANTINA MKE came on to the scene just about a month ago in the Old World Third and Arena area and has been making a huge mark on Milwaukeeans. While the theme of tacos and tequila has been spreading across the country, CANTINA puts a fun spin to make this taco place top your list.

Their huge menu has something for everyone and is sure to be a crowd pleaser with choices like, Pollo Del Muerto (Dead Chicken – Pulled Chicken, Corn Pico, Avocado Crema, Pickled Red Onion, Lettuce, Diablo Sauce on a corn tortilla), Walking Taco (Fritos topped with ground beef, mixed cheese, queso, pico de gallo), or your choice of one of their many Smothered Burritos (Loaded with refried beans, rice, corn, pico, mixed cheese and choice of meat topped with queso and cilantro) and so much more!

The drink menu is just as large; featuring beers, mules, sangrias and more, making this the perfect hangout spot no matter what drink you’re in the mood for!

On top of the tasty food and fun drinks, the prices are a huge reason why customers love this place! Tacos run from around $3-$5 (except on Tuesday and Thursday when they are only $2!). Their custom-made burritos also run cheap around $9-$12 depending on choice of meat. Despite all this, the best deals are on the spirits! Sangria is $6, tequila is as low as $4 and they offer the one and only “Cheap-A-Rita” (Sauza blue blanco, lime juice, sweet & sour, agave nectar) for just $6 for one or $20 for an entire pitcher.

Local art covers the walls of CANTINA to keep the atmosphere fun and interesting. There are plans to extend the artwork displayed even further by adding murals to the columns in the center of the restaurant from the artists Jimmy Cha Cha and Britt Musial.

As if all of this wasn’t enough to spike your interest, they also offer weekend specials on all things fun like beer pong, NFL and UFC broadcasts and even better drink specials on fireball shots, Modelo, Miller High Life, even $3 bombs!

This is the perfect place for an inexpensive, fun weekend night out. Skip the club and take a seat at the bar of your new favorite taco joint; It is open seven days a week (Mon.-Thurs. 4pm until close, Fri. 4pm – 2:30am, Sat. 11am – 2:30am and Sun. 11am – 2am, with the kitchen closing at 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on weekends) has great deals and a great atmosphere that will keep you coming back again and again!
