Caminito Argentinian Restaurant (Full Review)

We reside in Weston, Florida, just outside Fort Lauderdale in what often is called the best place to live in Florida.  Weston offers a wide variety of cuisine, with plenty of Argentinian options, which we really enjoy, so it was refreshing last year that Caminito opened up to offer yet another authentic experience offering Argentinian cuisine.  Here’s our Caminito review and summary in case you are in the area or live in Weston and are looking for our two cents.

What to Know About Caminito in Weston, Florida

caminito

Caminito is located at 1916 Weston Rd, near the Pill Box pharmacy and in the same strip center as La Granja and Katana.  Here you’ll find the flavors of Argentina in Weston, FL. The atmosphere, a tribute to the colorful streets of La Boca Buenos Aires, offers a dining experience that feels both foreign and familiar, giving a different vibe than most other Weston establishments.

Reviews online raved about the traditional Argentine flavors, the generous portions, and the exceptional quality of meats that form the cornerstone of the menu. It’s not just about what you eat, but how it’s served, and at Caminito, every dish comes with a side of excellent service, ensuring a dining experience that’s as pleasant as it is delicious.  Naturally, we had to check it out.

At first glance, there isn’t a lot to this place. It’s small and cozy, and two televisions grace the wall on the west end of the building.  A small bar is where the staff waits for you and oversees the whole dining floor.

Caminito’s Menu

When it comes to signature dishes, Caminito’s skirt steak is the star of the show. I highly recommend this at any Argentinian restaurant, and the one I had at Caminito did not disappoint, especially when paired with red wine.

But the skirt steak is just the beginning. As a restaurant that prides itself on its Argentine roots, Caminito serves up a variety of dishes that are as authentic as they are flavorful. From the savory folds of their empanadas to the perfectly charred meats, and variety of Milanese, every item on the menu transports you straight to Argentina, no passport required.

Cozy Ambiance

Again, this is nice cozy venue without much noise.  You’ll hear either Latin music or if there is a soccer game on, the volume can be on.

Caminito Reviews

When it comes to dining out, experiences can vary, and Caminito Weston is no exception. While many customers have voiced their great satisfaction with the restaurant, particularly praising the value of the lunch specials and the delightful service, others have pointed out areas for improvement. One visitor, for instance, found the milanesa lacking in seasoning, the mashed potatoes served cold, and a need for English-speaking staff to better accommodate all guests.

Overall, I was very pleased with my dining here.  The meat is incredible, and it’s a better environment than the local La Rural, the other big Argentinian spot in Weston.  Both are great, I won’t say anything bad about La Rural, but having another option in Caminito is nice.

Would I rank this in the top Argentinian restaurants in the area?  Probably not, but it’s definitely honorable mention and being it’s miles from our house, we’ll be going back.

Summary

Caminito Weston is more than just a restaurant; it is a vibrant slice of Argentina nestled in the heart of Florida. From the authentic dishes that celebrate tradition to the cozy ambiance that invites guests to linger, every aspect of Caminito is designed to provide a delightful dining experience.
