Imagine warm ocean breezes, the best guacamole around, and breathtaking views from Seven Mile Beach while you are in your swim suit sipping tequila…this is exactly what you will find at the Coccoloba Bar + Grill on Grand Cayman Island. It’s one of the best beachfront bars in Cayman for a reason!
I have to say that there is really something special about sitting on Seven Mile Beach with a drink in your hand while listening to the live mariachi band serenades and watching waves gently crash onto the sand. Coccoloba is a fun, casual restaurant situated at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, one of the luxury resorts on the island.
I read many Coccoloba reviews before visiting, and I must say, I wish I had read them earlier. Here’s my full recap.
Coccoloba Has Amazing Food and Drinks
Picture the culinary influences of coastal Mexico with the best of Caribbean seafood and you will understand what Coccoloba is all about. Sitting there sipping on specialty margaritas while the famed Seven Mile sunset disappears is really a beachside experience like no other.
It has a vibrant and colorful menu that includes some of my favorites including Chicken Tinga Tacos and Salteado de Carne. All of the food and cocktails have a modern, yet casual flair, and the Coccoloba bar makes you feel like you are on your own island, even though you are right on Grand Cayman.
Situated on the sandy beach, serving specialty margaritas, featuring live music, and steaming plates of Caribbean seafood, Coccoloba at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa is the perfect place to party.
Coccoloba Grand Cayman Full Review Notes
One of the things I really love about Coccoloba is the weekly specials, which they have on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The best part is that reservations are not required for any of these.
Tacos Y Tequila Tuesdays
As you can see in the Coccoloba photos below, we gladly participated in this!
“Tacos Y Tequila Tuesdays,” which is all about the delicious food, like Coccoloba’s weekly taco specials, speciality margaritas, and Latin hits, is an amazing experience for anyone who likes the vibe of a fun beach bar. Don’t forget to get up and dance if the mood hits!
Smokey Sunsets & Salsa
Feel the amazing vibe of the Latin life on Thursdays with “Smokey Sunsets & Salsa.” The restaurant sets up a live grill, which serves up amazing food right on the waterfront.
Sunset Sundowner
On Friday’s, you can just chill and relax as you watch the gorgeous Cayman sunset slowly disappear behind the waves. Take in the ocean views as you sit at the open air bar and dine on a menu that is absolutely amazing. You can end the week in style with ocean views everywhere you look.
Mariachi Caiman
Finally, on Saturday evenings, you can party the night away as a mariachi band serenades you with traditional and modern music. After sundown, don’t be surprised if your spirit rises and you find yourself dancing in the sand as the band plays on.

Coccoloba Menu
While we only got to try two dishes, the menu looked spectacular! Here’s a pic of Michelle’s bowl.
My best advice for anyone going to Grand Cayman is to make sure you go to Coccoloba at least once. From tacos and salads to fresh seafood and delectable desserts, you won’t forget a trip to Coccoloba.
