Keewaydin Restaurant Naples Review

Downtown Naples has a fairly new addition featuring relaxing and inviting vibes that invite you in for fresh Florida stone crab and a slice of key lime pie.

Since January 2024, Keewaydin’s on Fifth has had fresh seafood, wonderful service, and a family-owned vibe that customers appreciate.

Keewaydin’s Naples is located in the former restaurant location of Yabba Island Grill on Fifth Avenue South. When I stopped in, I sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the personable and knowledgeable bartender. I had an amazing seafood pasta dish for my meal and chose key lime pie for dessert. Though it was a mid-week visit, I found that the restaurant was crowded and had the essence of the typical Southwest Florida lifestyle, and it was easy to stick around for a few extra cocktails.

Is Keewaydin’s on Fifth a place I would go back to? Yes! Next time I’m in Naples, FL, I would definitely stop by. Does everyone else feel the same? Let’s find out.

Keewaydin Restaurant Reviews

Keeywadin Naples Restaurant

Though it’s rather new, Keewaydin’s Naples is gathering reviews on all of the major review sites. For instance, at the time this review was written, there were 26 reviews on TripAdvisor since it opened. The average rating is 3.9/5.

Reviewers call the restaurant “trendy” and “reasonable” in cost, but there might be some growing pains, as they also tend to describe the food as “underwhelming” with “not much flavor.”

One reviewer went into great detail about the restaurant’s annual special Sizzle dining program, which offers three courses for $39, but he only described average food and very bland clam chowder. Other reviewers mentioned bad customer service.

That being said, there are plenty of great reviews, too, with people praising the island themed restaurant for it’s delicious cocktails, outdoor bar and seating area, amazing fried grouper sandwich, and the hand breaded coconut shrimp.

Keewaydin Restaurant Dress Code

OpenTable describes the dress code for Keewaydin’s on Fifth as being business casual, and I agree with that.

It’s a bit more classy than a tiki bar that you may find on the beach, but it’s not so fancy that you need to bring out the cocktail dresses and ties. Instead, it’s a place where you can meet with friends for a nice happy hour or early dining experience with a sundress or nice shorts and a button-down shirt for the gentlemen. If you wear that, you will fit right in.

Final Words

There are hundreds of restaurants in Naples, and most people see Keewaydin’s on Fifth as an average choice. Keep in mind that the restaurant is only a year old, and it takes time to work out kinks.

My best advice is to check it out during happy hour or during the Naples annual Sizzle Dining event, where you can dine for a lower price and get to know the restaurant and the menu at a better value.
