The nearest international airport to Tamarindo is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia. This airport is about an hour’s drive away from Tamarindo. Tamarindo is home to a national airport (TNO). It has multiple flights per day connecting it to San Jose and Liberia, operated by Sansa, Aerobell, and Skyway airlines.

Getting to Tamarindo

Whether you’re flying in from San Jose, Liberia, or another destination, there are plenty of options for getting to Tamarindo. The most convenient airport to fly into for Tamarindo is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, which is just over an hour’s drive away. You may also choose to take a taxi, bus, or rent a car from one of the many rental car companies.
