If you are craving Italian Food in Weston, Florida, Tarantella ristorante pizzeria is a must visit. Today I’ll give you my Tarantella review so you can see why it’s been a community favorite in Weston, Florida.
The History of Tarantella Italian Restaurant
Gianpiero and Karen Cangelosi established Tarantella in Weston in 1992, initially housed in a quaint barn on Saddle Club Road. The restaurant relocated in November 2001 to become one of the first eateries in the newly developed Weston Town Center. Since then, Tarantella Weston has been a staple in the community, serving authentic Italian cuisine.
Artistic Decor
The interior of Tarantella Weston is a feast for the eyes, featuring artwork by Italian artist Nino Parrucca. From cerulean ceramic tiles embedded in the tables to hanging pottery, the decor evokes the charm of a small Italian store. “We wanted to create an authentic Italian ambiance,” says manager John Can.
The artistic decor contributes to a cozy atmosphere, making diners feel at home.
Authentic Italian Food
Gianpiero, originally from Sicily, brings the flavors of southern Italy to Tarantella Weston. The menu, inspired by traditional recipes, is rich in vegetables such as eggplant, zucchini, and tomatoes, and also features a variety of fish dishes. A customer favorite is the Zuppa De Pesce, a delectable combination of clams, mussels, shrimp, and calamari sautéed with fresh tomatoes and served over linguine.
For Special Evenings
While Tarantella Weston boasts a casual atmosphere, the Cangelosis also own Capriccio Italian Restaurant in Pembroke Pines, which offers a more upscale dining experience. Capriccio’s romantic setting, complete with elegant decor and intimate lighting, enhances its appeal for special evenings. Capriccio features a pianist and an antique bar, making it perfect for special occasions.
Tarantella Menu
The menu you’ll find at Tarantella in Weston is long and diverse. You can find anything your heart desires, as long as it’s Italian food! I’ve had over half the meals on the menu, and can say I’ve never had a bad one. Here’s some of the food you will find here. Whether you want a meal or a salad, they have everything you could possibly look for as their menu is massive.
- Pasta

- Desserts
They also offer gluten-free options to cater to various dietary needs.
Of course, they offer plenty of pasta! You’ll see the following items on the menu in the pasta section:
I highly recommend the chicken parm. It never disappoints.
They also have a private room, so if you want to do an event or just have a secluded dinner, that’s always an option. I’ve seen everything from retirement parties, to a birthday, to business dinners being celebrated in their private room.
What I Like About Tarantella in Weston Town Center
For starters, it’s very near our home. We often head to town center for errands and we have never had a problem getting a table here because it’s a sprawling restaurant.
I also like the service. Whether you get an old seasoned vet as a waiter or a well trained local Weston high schooler, the friendly staff are always proper and take pride in knowing the menu.
I really recommend the pizza. The pizzas come in many varieties, even a healthy version of a salad pizza.
Local Tip: Come for dinner during the week. It’s typically slower compared to Friday and Saturday.
What I Don’t Like About Tarantella Ristoranate
I have zero complaints. Limited parking can be an issue on busy nights. The only thing I can say is that if you don’t think ahead on a Friday or Saturday night, you may not get a table, or if you do, it’ll be on the outside patio with cars buzzing by. If that’s the only bad thing I can say, that should tell you why this fantastic venue has lasted so long in competitive, trending Weston Town Center.
