I’m a huge fan of oysters and while we live in Fort Lauderdale, life and work brings is to Miami quite often. One venue I’ve enjoyed over the years is The River Oyster Bar. Brickell is known for its high-end restaurants, which makes it tough to find great food for a decent price. However, this option has a full menu and doesn’t cost a lot. Here’s my River Oyster Bar review so you can know what to expect ahead of dining there.
Overview of The River Oyster Bar (Get a Casual Meal)
David Bracha is the owner of The River Oyster Bar. Miami has shown him some love because he owned another restaurant, though it closed.
If you’re in downtown Miami around the Brickell area, you need to try the food here. While considered American cuisine, it features plenty of seafood. Therefore, it’s ideal for relaxing dinners, low-key business lunches, and late-night bites.
The River Oyster Bar Menu
At the River Oyster Bar, you’ll find many food items for lunch and dinner. There are also dessert and cocktail options.
Primarily, fish is the most prominent item at this Miami restaurant. You can eat sea scallops, clams, oysters, squid, black grouper, and so much more.
For lunch, things are a bit lighter, with grilled shrimp kebabs, squid/shrimp salad, and red snapper. Generally, each day offers a new dish, so you can spend your time in Brickell eating different options.
The Vibe at The River Oyster Bar
Overall, the vibe at this restaurant is nice. You don’t feel rushed, so you can eat at your leisure. While many places in Miami are high-end or elegant, this one is more eclectic.
The River Oyster Bar Reviews
Most people claimed that they experienced attentive service, and the ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. Typically, they name a server, which tells you how well the staff cares about the guests.
Others say that the happy hour service is impeccable and excellent. Ultimately, you won’t want to leave; luckily, you can stay as long as you wish.
With such great service, you’ll enjoy the flavor of each dish. It’s one of the top places in the Brickell area. If you want a trendy seafood restaurant, this is definitely a good choice.
Those who found time to dine here said that everything was great. However, a few complaints focused on smaller-than-normal portions and high prices. Likewise, if you’re going on a Saturday night, it’s best to get reservations.
The River Oyster Bar Dress Code
As with many places in Miami, this restaurant features a business-casual dress code. Therefore, you should avoid wearing shorts, tank tops, and flip-flops. Still, sundresses, slacks, and tailored jackets are suitable.
The River Oyster Bar Hours of Operation
If you want to enjoy The River Oyster Bar restaurant, it’s open seven days a week from noon until 10:30 PM.
Happy hour is from 3 PM to 7 PM every day, and you can get less expensive beer and wine/cocktails. There are also half-priced oysters.
