YOT Bar & Kitchen, located within Fort Lauderdale’s celebrated Lauderdale Marine Center, offers a distinctive waterfront dining experience. When walking near the restaurant, I immediately noticed the 360-degree views of the New River and a contemporary nautical ambiance.
I later went in to discover uncomplicated food, unforgettable hospitality, and the casual atmosphere, featuring locally caught seafood and imaginative cocktails. They were absolutely amazing. If you are in Fort Lauderdale, FL, do yourself a favor and check out YOT Bar…not Yacht Bar…though you can see some beautiful yachts moving through the blue water if that’s your thing.
Let’s see if others have the same great experience I had when I walked in, met the host, and got seated at this great Fort Lauderdale restaurant where I undoubtedly was looking to see how their oysters compared to the top oyster bars in Fort Lauderdale!
YOT Bar and Kitchen Reviews
On Yelp, YOT Bar & Kitchen boasts a 4.2-star rating from over 700 reviews. People seem to love the casual setting dockside and the great food. The restaurant talks about it’s great wines and using the freshest ingredients, and reviews seem to reflect that. Some of the negatives include poor service and issues with the live music being too loud. Even people who complained against the service did mention that they liked the excellent food.
TripAdvisor has YOT listed at 4/5 stars, and the reviews are similar to those on Yelp. Again, people mention the irresistible food and other tempting fare, and also talk about the outdoor location on the river, which leads to views of the captivating sky and beautiful sun.

YOT’s menu showcases American food and seafood, and it’s known for it’s great brunch. I loved the seared scallops, which was amazing with a glass of wine. Michelle had a gin spritz drink, which also looked amazing. Other friends who have been here at private events or for a meal, also talked about the quality of the oysters, which I totally supported after getting a dozen west coast oysters, a well as the outdoor vibe, which we found very casual and comfortable.

YOT Bar & Kitchen has a casual dress code, and since there is both indoor and outdoor seating, you want to dress appropriately. The atmosphere strikes a balance between laid-back and refined, making it appropriate for various occasions. (They do offer catering and private events.)

Final Words
YOT Bar & Kitchen definitely has it’s own brand of delicious good, a cool atmosphere with blue vibe, and outstanding drinks. Some might say YOT is a bit off the beaten path, but that works for this place. It’s inviting and fun, and prices are decent compared to other places. Our server was great, and the taste of the food was memorable. I recommend a visit, but don’t forget a reservation, especially if it’s a weekend night. We saw patrons taking a lot of photos when we were there in April, and it was a nice time to be out on the dock watching our reflections in the water.
