Overview of Dirty French Steakhouse

dirty french

Found in Brickell, Dirty French Steakhouse is owned by Rich Torrisi, Mario Carbone, and Jeff Zalaznick. These three have breathed new life into the area, keeping it true to its history.

You’ll find an expertly conceived menu with fish and meat, which are sourced from the best purveyors. Likewise, there is plenty of French influence.

Clearly, this steakhouse offers everything you’d expect, such as amazing sides, aged steaks, elegant seafood options, and raw bar selections. For the best result, it’s wise to get reservations. A quick email or call is all you need.

Dirty French Steakhouse Menu

What is there to eat at Dirty French Steakhouse? Its menu has many tasty options, such as:

Tuna Tartare and Other Appetizers

Tuna tartare is an excellent appetizer, but you’ll also find beef carpaccio, crab croquettes, and lobster ravioli.

We LOVED the beef carpaccio.

Raw Bar Options

The diver scallops feature lime leaves, or you can have a spicy shrimp cocktail, littleneck clams, or a lobster.

caviar
Instead of our usual seafood tower, we opted for caviar. It was a milestone birthday – so we went big!

Steaks

Most people go directly to the steaks, which include the New York strip, ribeye, filet mignon, and Wagyu.

prime rib

The above photo is their famous prime rib.  Upon making your reservation, you’ll receive a text message asking if you want to reserve one (or more) for your party.  These are limited in availability and not guaranteed to be available if you don’t reserve it 48 hours prior to your reservation.  It was phenomenal – but very pricy at $90!

ribeye

While I’ll never turn down a prime rib, (and let’s face it, there aren’t a lot of prime rib venues in Miami) the ribeye stole the show for us.

Seafood

Seafood options include Cajun-style snapper, Scottish salmon, and sole.

Alcoholic Beverages

espresso martini
Long time readers know my affinity for an espresso Martini.

One of the top cocktail choices is the Kahuna, a tropical concoction of grapefruit, Campari, and mezcal. Served in a pineapple glass, it will impress you from the moment it arrives.  We didn’t get that one, largely because I’m going without much sugar in my diet, but saw others enjoying it and it looked phenomenal.

Instead, I opted for a vesper, which was really good, as well as an espresso martini (pictured above) for a night cap.  The only better espresso martini I’ve had in Florida was at Heritage.  (You MUST try that one if you are a fan of these drinks.)

There is also the Caribbean Mule, which features lime, ginger, and rum.

You’ll also find the Alaska martini, which features chartreuse, orange bitters, and gin.

The Vibe at Dirty French Steakhouse

Ultimately, the vibe at Dirty French Steakhouse is upscale and elegant. While it’s possible to come without reservations, it’s generally wise to call ahead.

Dirty French Reviews

Many have dined at Dirty French Steakhouse, leaving reviews that say there’s plenty of space, the waitstaff is helpful, and the food is delicious. They also mention that it’s best to get reservations.

Generally, the reviews are positive, though many people have complained about the steep price. Still, that is to be expected at a fine-dining restaurant. Likewise, a few have said that, even with reservations, they waited entirely too long for a table.

Dirty French Miami Dress Code

Guests at Dirty French Steakhouse are encouraged to dress up. Though tailored shorts are allowed, baseball caps and athletic wear are prohibited. Overall, it’s best to focus on skirts, dresses, suits, and slacks.
