We recently went to check out the Las Olas Wine and Food Festival, which is now in it’s 28th year of running! This event features the best culinary in the Ft. Lauderdale era as well as wine and booze from their sponsor, Southern Wine and Spirits. Food, wine, and spirits on Las Olas? Yes please!
This event benefits the American Lung Association and as foodies, we couldn’t miss it. Here’s some photos from our trip as well as more information about the event.
Las Olas Food and Wine Festival Photos
We were able to sample food from over 40 of the area’s best restaurants while having access to over 200 international and domestic brands, wineries, and even breweries. There was a live DJ, dancing, and experiences galore. This sprawling event went across four blocks of Las Olas Blvd, an area we know very well.
One of the highlights for me was running into Channing Crowder, who has a new seasoning called “Crowder Powder.” I met him when he judged the Smoke on the Water Chili Cook Off benefitting the Jason Taylor Foundation a couple years and he’s a great guy that’s always smiling.
You had to get a ticket to this event, and ours were given to us by some business associates, so that was a huge win. The all inclusive tickets allowed us to sample all the tasting pavilions, spirits, and roam freely throughout the event.
